 Neurofeedback Center of Virginia provides an array of integrated interventions to reinforce and quantify your EEG Neurofeedback results, and where relevant, can outsource additional care to a host of associated professionals, including nutritional, psychiatric, neurological, career and other caregivers and consultants.
Auxillary Neurofeedback
EDF/AVS: Electroencephalographic Disentrainment Neurofeedback; brainwave entrainment utilizing variable light and/or magnetic stimulation for purposes of relaxation. Also referred to as Audio Visual Stimulation.
HEG: Hemoencephalograpy; procedure using an infrared photoelectric cell placed on the scalp that allows the user to modulate brain oxygenation and increase blood flow (perfusion) to the brain for purposes of relaxation. We offer both Near Infrared (nIR HEG) and Passive Infrared (pIR HEG).

Sensory Processing Management
The Listening Program®: We are authorized providers of Advanced Brain Technologies' The Listening Program®, a “clinically tested cognitive training product that maximizes human potential by improving the foundational processing and sensory integration abilities of the brain by way of listening to specially recorded and filtered classical music and sound effects. Over 30 years of clinical studies with neuroscience, music, acoustic, and brain research have gone into into TLP's development.”
Irlen™ Scotopic Screening: We are certified Irlen screening providers; can identify scotopic sensitivities that co-exist with learning disabilities, sensory processing, and some behavioral disorders. Pain Management
 Alpha-Stim: microcurrent electrical stimulation device used to ameliorate functional disruption from headaches, acute, chronic, and postoperative pain.
EnerMed: non-invasive drug-free intervention.
Roshi Mag Stim: non-invasive drug free intervention.
Alpha-Theta: specialized protocol intended to provide relaxation with a positive impact on stress levels related to pain and learned fears and traumas.
Evaluative Screening and Testing
Brain Map/qEEG: full cranium (19 sites) topographic map and report, or mini-qEEG (12 sites with brief interpretation). Special instructions for preparation provided in advance of your session.
ADD and ADHD screening and evaluation with psychiatric diagnosis and report.
Transcranial Doppler (TCD): ultrasonic neurovascular assessment of intracranial hemodynamics and neurologist report.
TOVA® and EEG Qik Test™: continuous performance tests assess progress with Neurofeedback and establish performance baselines as results are statistically analyzed and are validated.
Cognitive Testing and Supplemental Reports
Our licensed clinician provides limited standard valid and reliable Cognitive Testing and Supplemental Reports for purposes of acquiring disability status, insurance reimbursement, consideration for special accommodations at school and other purposes; Thompson’s Depression Scale, ADD/HD Screening, MAST Index, etc.
Home Training Instruction
We provide home training arrangements on a case-by-case basis with ongoing transitional consultative instruction and supervision. This is provided only after 20 to 40 sessions or possibly more have been completed.

Nutritional Coaching
We provide limited Nutritional Coaching. A Supplemental Report can be prepared upon request with recommendations for Nutriceutical supplements and dietary considerations for achieving optimum brain fitness. For more advanced needs, we make outsourced recommendations to our staff Nutritionist.
Educational Brain Development Tools
We use a selection of state-of-the-art educational games and other technologies to provide optional secondary reinforcement as trainees receive Neurofeedback sessions, to maximize learning capacities.
Periodic Support Group
We facilitate periodic support groups that are open to parents and individuals seeking alternatives to medication. We feature guest speakers on topics such as nutrition, lifestyle design, stress management, career counseling, educational counseling and more
